Healthy Fourth of July Food

We normally love celebrating Fourth of July with our friends because it’s always fun to get together and eat good food. Even though it’ll look a little different this year, here are some easy, festive, and healthy Fourth of July food you can have!

Desserts

One of our go-to easy and healthy red, white, and blue treats is fruit! You can make a festive fruit platter or fruit skewers, even using a cookie cutter to cut out stars. For red, we like to use strawberries, raspberries, and watermelon; blue, blueberries; white, bananas. We also love taking incorporating the fruit into desserts to make them festive!

Drinks

For healthy drinks, instead of adding a ton of sugary mixes, try using soda water. You can sweeten drinks with honey or agave, but our preferred choice is to use a monkfruit sweetener like Lakanto. We’ve even make simple syrup with it before, and it totally works! Just know that it isn’t a 1:1 replacement for sugar, since it is a lot sweeter. Another great option is to just use fruit, so it’s no refined sugars added.
