We love a good comfortable pair for shorts to lounge around in or to run errands in. The Softstreme material from Lululemon is so comfortable and soft. They make shorts, pants, and sweatshirts in this material. Now that it’s summer and warming up, we’ve found the best Lululemon Softstreme Shorts dupe from Amazon for less than half the price.
Comparing the Two
The dupe from Amazon is honestly identical to the Lululemon shorts. The material on both are just as soft. They’re both made of a nice weighty fabric that drapes nicely and run true to size. We’re wearing a size 4 in the Lululemon and size S in the dupe.
Both have a drawstring on the waistband on customize the fit and have front pockets on each side of the shorts. There really aren’t many differences between the two shorts that you can easily see or feel from trying them on. They even have a similar seam on the back.
However, we haven’t tested these shorts to see how they hold up in the wash or general wear and tear, so we can’t say if the quality is the same. But the reviews of the dupe on Amazon are all really great. These would definitely make a great pair of loungewear shorts.

Our Pick
Overall, we’d pick the dupe. Both shorts are honestly identical, down to the softness of the fabric. While we haven’t tested how they hold up after washing, given the price difference, we’d go with the one from Amazon.
