Most Instagrammable Spots in Barcelona

Barcelona is honestly one of our favorite cities. While we love visiting new cities, we could see ourselves actually living here.

The city is just so beautiful. There is plenty of good food, including very healthy options. (Should we do a post on our favorite healthy spots??) The people are so helpful and so nice. Plus wine and cava are cheaper than water!

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite Instagrammable spots in Barcelona, so you can really capture how amazing this city is. Most of these spots will require you to purchase tickets in advance so plan ahead! We’ve even created a Google Map at the end with all the locations!

La Sagrada Familia

Address: Carrer de Mallorca, 401, 08013 Barcelona, Spain
Cost: 17€ for a basic ticket, 32€ for ticket + tower (purchase here)

Don’t forget to purchase tickets early and visit one of the towers.

La Sagrada Familia is an absolute must, even if you aren’t looking for an Instagrammable spot. It’s absolutely stunning inside. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing tickets early, especially if you’re going during peak season.

The first time we went we went up to the tower, then walked back down. We recommend doing this because there are so many details you can see on the walk down! We regretted not purchasing tickets earlier this most recent time we went.

Even though it’s still under construction, La Sagrada Familia is breathtaking. Grace’s favorite part is how the sunlight hits the stain glass windows and leaves this beautiful rainbow of colors inside. We heard a great time to go is during sunset, but this is not really doable during summer since the sun sets so late.

Plaça de Gaudí

Address: Carrer de Lepant, 278, 08013 Barcelona, Spain

A great spot for a photo with La Sagrada Familia in the background is at the small park just across the street. It’s a small park and it’s hard to miss this Instagrammable spot usually because you’ll see a line of people.

The perfect Instagrammable spot for La Sagrada Familia.
Hahaha. There’s a line for a reason. Please patiently wait and not jump into other people’s photos.

Park Güell

Address: Carrer d’Olot, 5, 08024 Barcelona, Spain
Cost: 10€ (purchase here)

Our favorite spot at Park Guëll.

Park Güell has both a restricted and unrestricted area. It only costs to enter the restricted area. There are time slots! We prefer to go early, so there are less people in the park. The park ticket also came with a shuttle bus ticket, which we would highly recommend using since it’s just next to a metro stop. The first time we went we took a cab to the general area and walked a while to find the entrance.

Our favorite spot is from the bench overlooking the park, just on the left-hand side when you first enter! You get a beautiful view of the whole park, including gingerbread house! Be sure to line up to walk through it.

Barcelona Cathedral

Address: Placita de la Seu, s/n, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
Cost:
Free weekdays 8:30 am-12:30 pm, 5:45 pm -7:30 pm
Free Saturdays 8:30 am-12:30 pm, 5:15 pm -8:00 pm
Free Sundays/holidays 8:30 am-1:45 pm, 5:14 pm -8:00 pm
3€ to access the roof during free entry hours
Otherwise, 7€ to access the entire cathedral, including the roof (purchase here)

Get to the Barcelona Cathedral early for free entry.
There’s a strict dress code! Don’t wear what Jo wore.

While the Barcelona Cathedral is beautiful, the most Instagrammable spot is on the roof. It opens at 10:00 am on weekdays. We highly recommend being one of the first people to enter to make sure the roof is empty to get the shot! Also, BRING EXACT CHANGE. Because if you are one of the first to enter, they will not have change for you yet since it’s early in the day! If you don’t listen to us and need change, head straight to the souvenir shop located in the cloisters.

Also, this is a church so there is a strict dress code. That means no exposed shoulders or knees. Jo actually wore pants and took it off at the roof for a quick photo LOL.

Palace of Catalan Music

Address: Passeig de Lluís Companys, 08003 Barcelona, Spain
Cost:
20€ for a guided tour (tour offered in different languages so check the schedule)
15€ for self-guided tour (only available July-September) (purchase here)

You can only enter by purchasing a tour! Otherwise, you’ll only be able to access the lobby and the cafeteria. We didn’t want to spend 20€ each and 1 hour on a guided tour so we skipped it.

Arc de Triomf

Address: Passeig de Sant Joan, s/n 08010 Barcelona, Spain
Cost: Free

Stumbled across the Arc de Triomf while exploring the city.

One of the great things about Barcelona is that you want to walk around and stumble upon gorgeous architecture and structures! We were walking from La Sagrada Familia to Mercat de la Boqueria even though it’s about 30 minutes and saw the Arc de Trimof and decided to grab a photo in front of it!

Casa Batlló

Address: Passeig de Gràcia, 43, 08007 Barcelona, Spain
Cost: 25€ (purchase here)

Casa Batlló was designed by Gaudi. The outside of the building is stunning with beautiful, colorful mosaic. While we haven’t been inside of it yet, we definitely need to go back! We’ve seen photos, and, like all of Gaudi’s work, it’s amazing.

Casa Milà

Address: Provença, 261-265, 08008 Barcelona, Spain
Cost: 22€ (purchase here)

Casa Milà and Casa Batlló are not far from each other. We went to Casa Milà the first time we went to Barcelona, and our favorite part is the rooftop!

What do you think? Should we move here for a month or so next year??
